The world of chili peppers has been entertaining me for over 25 years. It all started on a large terrace in San Siro, facing west, bathed in sunlight from lunchtime until sunset. That’s where I began growing my first plants, inspired by some study and work experiences in California and Florida that had already made me fall in love with this special plant. Because, unlike carrots and zucchinis, chili peppers aren’t just beautiful and tasty—they’re also packed with a devastating... and irresistible active ingredient.
With age comes the desire to do something different—to build something that’s mine, that’s ours. I thank God I still have the energy and ideas. And so, in a moment of healthy madness, the dream was born: to move to the countryside around Cagliari, among greenhouses, motorcycles, the sea, and wonderful people. There, where chili peppers don’t die below 5 degrees Celsius, and each plant becomes a small tree that lasts for years.
Then reality (and the dog) made us stay in Milan a bit longer than expected. But the project didn’t wait. From the terrace in San Siro to the Arco della Pace was a short leap. One day, after a coffee with Giulio—the longtime manager of the adult shop downstairs and, surprisingly, an expert in agriculture—I ended up in Abbiategrasso. There I met Marco, who not only offered me a greenhouse ready to use, but also became a friend and a mentor.
Three months later, I didn’t just have a cultivated field—I had a new adventure. And that’s how it all began. Boss Taste of HellIt’s not just about chili peppers and heat. It’s a story of chance encounters, genuine passion, impulsive choices, and that touch of recklessness you need to bring something truly your own to life.
